A Chair is primarily the expression of a lasting relationship of trust between a company and the School, which meets the needs of Teaching and Research, with mutual benefits,

For the company

  • strong synergies between its industrial R&D and academic research,
  • systematic involvement in the work and documents of the Chair,
  • privileged access to progress in research, in advance of scientific publication,
  • participation in setting educational goals to reflect the needs of the company,
  • special access to students as part of a lasting strategic partnership,
  • contribution to the company’s communication on innovation, contributing to its profile, reputation and prestige,
  • tax advantage: 60% reduction in corporation tax up to a maximum of 0.5% of revenues, under a Corporate Sponsorship Agreement.

For the school

  • improvement in the quality of its research management systems through focus on the dynamics between the company’s R&D and the research teams,
  • creation of Masters or training programs in response to the needs of partner companies,
  • support for the School’s activities at international level, amongst other things through links with foreign institutions,
  • an enhanced scientific profile for the School’s research functions.
