It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Roger Guesnerie. A former student of the École Polytechnique (X62), he graduated with a degree in civil engineering (corps des ponts et chaussées). After completing his training at the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (1967) and the University of Toulouse, he chose a career in economic research.
