A cliché against clichés: female engineers, a profession with many facets

This photo and audio exhibition highlights the careers of 20 female engineers who graduated from the School, embodying the diversity and richness of the careers available to them following their training.

The exhibition project is entirely funded by the Fondation des Ponts thanks to the support of its donors and benefits from the support of the alumni association, Ponts Alumni. Most of the portraits were taken in the alumnae's workplaces.

Each portrait is accompanied by a narrative allowing the public to discover their stories, their achievements, and their joy in practicing a profession they love, each with its own unique characteristics. This exhibition can be seen at the Cité des Métiers (free admission on level -1 of the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie) until June 30, 2026.

It is an immersive experience combining photography, audio, and text to showcase women in engineering.

Les mystères du Wharton of the Sea

This suspenseful five-part podcast (in French), written by Guillaume Le Cornec, winner of the prestigious Polar Prize at the Cognac Festival in 2023, is the result of a unique combination of crime fiction and scientific research.

As you follow the adventures of the two heroes, Leila and Noah, two strong-willed teenagers, you will also discover the driving forces behind the SHIPAIR research program, which aims to quantify the contribution of maritime traffic emissions to air pollution in urban port areas.

This original approach to scientific method and research aims to inspire young people to go further and perhaps pursue scientific careers, which are more necessary than ever.
The podcast is accompanied by an educational booklet for middle and high school teachers. It uses audio fiction to address contemporary scientific, environmental, and civic issues.
