Admission requirements

Students who have successfully completed a first year Masters degree in physics, in particular the Masters 1 programme in “Nuclear Energy” or an equivalent such as “Applied Physics and Mechanics” and students in their third year at engineering schools such as ParisTech, Centrale Paris and Supélec are also in a position to apply.The Masters 2 is also open to foreign students holding an equivalent M1 qualification.

A committee will establish a shortlist based on the application form, then if necessary interview the shortlisted students to assess their scientific level, level of English and motivation, and decide on the final selection for this Masters 2 programme.

Admission into M2 is based on the application form and interview.This applies to students who have successfully completed the M1 in “Nuclear Energy”, the M1 in “Fundamental Physics” or the M1 in “Applied Physics and Mechanics” at Paris Sud University 11, students from the grandes écoles or students with 60 ECTS of graduate level education in the field.

Requirements

  • Process engineering, materials, chemistry of reactive media, nuclear physics
  • Knowledge and practice of English to a good level (TOEFL80/120 or equivalent)

In partnership with EDF, the Masters programme in Nuclear Energy is part of the Top Master programme which provides access to pre-recruitment at EDF and funding for the year of Masters 2 study.
