Engineering students have a number of opportunities to undertake an internship abroad during their degree program.
SHORT INTERNSHIP OR LONG INTERNSHIP
- On the short internship: professional experience in a functional project, for two months between the 2nd and 3rd year. More than 50% of short internships are undertaken abroad.
- On the long internship: experience as a novice engineer in a company, for one year between the 2nd and 3rd year. More than 25% of long internships are undertaken abroad.
END-OF-COURSE PROJECT (PFE)
- The End of Course Project (PFE) is a piece of personal work conducted over a minimum period of 17 weeks, which applies the knowledge acquired during the degree program within the framework of an internship in a company or academic environment (research lab).
- Any engineering student at the École nationale des ponts et chaussées has the possibility of undertaking their PFE abroad.
