Initial Training Module for Senior Public Service Managers on ecological issues

As part of the core curriculum for initial training of senior public service managers coordinated by the Institut national du service public, a training module dedicated to ecological issues.  @ Coline Nelson.

École nationale des ponts et chaussées is coordinating the design and production of a training module dedicated to ecological issues, alongside AgroParistech and the Institut national des études territoriales (Inet). It is part of the core curriculum for initial training of senior public service managers, coordinated by the Institut national du service public (INSP).

Governance

The design of this training course is conducted with the support of a working group involving all the public service schools in charge of training the bodies concerned by this common core, the teaching team mobilized in the realization of lessons and workshops, collectives of students and civil servants committed to these issues as well as external experts.

Pedagogical objectives

The training module aims to develop a common culture among public service school students around ecological issues. Alongside training specific to each corps, it contributes to the development of the skills required within administrations to grasp and integrate these issues into all public policies.
Consult the issues note specifying the targeted skills.

The Module

The module comprises around twenty hours of training, ideally divided between 10h of lessons, in the form of sequences followed remotely and autonomously on the Mentor platform, and 11h of workshops integrated into the training courses. It is organized into 4 blocks, preceded by a preparation phase and followed by an assessment phase.

The first two blocks aim to develop the ability to grasp ecological issues in a variety of contexts. The next two blocks aim to develop participants' ability to integrate ecological issues into the design and implementation of public policies, on the one hand, and the management of public organizations, on the other.

These sequences are framed by questionnaires designed to monitor and guarantee the acquisition of a common base of knowledge deemed critical to competence.
