Validation of prior learning
Validation of prior learning is a right enshrined in the French Labor Code.
Legislation
Law no. 2022-1598 of December 21, 2022.
Articles 133 to 145 of the French Social Modernization Act introduce the "Validation des Acquis de l'Expérience (VAE)".
"Any person who has exercised a professional activity (salaried, non-salaried, volunteer, etc.) can benefit from the Validation des Acquis de l'Expérience (VAE). Their experience enables them to obtain a certification (diploma, professional title) to help them progress professionally. This certification must be registered in the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles (RNCP)."
Obtain a professional certification in higher education

“VAE is open to everyone, regardless of age, nationality, status or level of training. All that is required is proof of experience directly related to the targeted certification”.
