Adapting to climate change in Africa: understanding, planning, investing
AFD is organizing a presentation of the book “L'économie africaine 2026” (The African Economy in 2026), published jointly with Éditions La Découverte, on January 22, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This year, the launch conference for this 7th edition will focus on Africa's macroeconomic outlook, impacted by constraints on growth financing, and on the challenges surrounding the continent's adaptation to climate change.
This event will provide an opportunity for a quick overview of the chapter of the publication dedicated to issues relating to urban mobility in Africa, with contributions from Virginie Boutueil, Yao Amedokpo, and Jean-François Sempere, researchers at the School's LVUrban Mobility and Transport Laboratory. The conference will take place at the Mistral Auditorium at AFD headquarters in Paris and online.
