Admissions for the offshore wind energy master's programme
Offshore wind power is one of the fastest-growing renewable energies today. The power of wind turbines has increased fivefold over the last twenty years, significantly reducing electricity production costs.
Offshore wind power is an asset for Europe's energy security, as Europe has a large maritime area. A new technology is emerging: floating wind power, which can be deployed further offshore and generate electricity in deeper seas, particularly in the Mediterranean.
In the face of global warming and energy tensions, the development of offshore wind power has become a strategic global challenge. Floating wind power is a field in which the technological challenges are extremely complex.
To meet this challenge, France has embarked on a process of ramping up offshore wind power, which involves training a highly qualified workforce in R&D and the design of high-performance floating systems.
This is the aim of the MASTER OFFWIND, a two-year Master's degree with a PhD track, taught in English under the aegis of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, based on the expertise and complementary nature of the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and ENSTA (Paris and Brest campuses).
Are you interested in the challenges of offshore wind energy? You can apply for the M2 OFFWIND MASTER programme on the Institut polytechnique de Paris website.
