A Conversation with Giulia Foïs

21 May. 2026

École nationale des ponts et chaussées (through its Gender Equality Advisory Group) and the Equality Pole of the Dévelop’Ponts association invite you to a conversation with Giulia Fois, journalist, author, and feminist:

Being 20 years old then and now: What progress and setbacks have there been in the fight for gender equality?
Thursday 21 May 2026 - Cauchy Hall
from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

  • feminism (what does that actually mean?),
  • the expectations associated with being a man or a woman,
  • inequalities in the workplace,
  • the rise of masculinist discourse…

These are all topics that concern us all and will be addressed through an open (and candid) discussion. A special opportunity for intergenerational dialogue.

The event will be moderated by Victoire Gaudin and Elena Alvarez, respectively the former and current chairs of the Equality Pole at Dévelop’Ponts.

Giulia Foïs is a journalist (France Inter, RFI, Le Mouv’, Libération, France 5…), author, and feminist.
