The Impact of Energy Infrastructure on the City
This edition of the “Decide Now” symposium series explores how the energy transition is transforming urban infrastructure, on Tuesday, June 2, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. (Leonard:Paris).
The energy transition, in fact, entails a profound transformation of urban energy distribution and production infrastructure. What are the implications for existing infrastructure? To what extent must it evolve and adapt to this new reality, and under what conditions? How can the necessary new infrastructure be deployed and utilized to its fullest potential? Finally, what tools can support this effort at the regional level?
Preliminary Program
- Session 1 - How can existing energy networks be upgraded?
- Session 2 - New infrastructure, multiple uses for the city?
- Session 3 - What regional planning tools can support the transition?
The “Décider Maintenant” symposiums are organized by the think tank La Fabrique de la Cité, Leonard - VINCI’s foresight and innovation platform - and École nationale des ponts et chaussées, focusing on the themes of energy and mobility.
