Launch of the 8th joint call for projects for EELISA Communities activities

08 Sep. 2026

The EELISA European University Alliance has launched its 8th Joint Call, supporting the development of new collaborative activities within the EELISA Communities. With a total budget of €200,000, selected projects may receive up to €12,000 in funding.

Faculty members, researchers, staff and students at École des Ponts are invited to join forces with EELISA partners and develop interdisciplinary and innovative initiatives addressing societal challenges related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This edition focuses on two main areas:

  • Topic 1 – Education, research and innovation
The first topic supports educational activities that also contribute to strengthening the **research and innovation dimensions of EELISA**, building on the priorities developed through previous Joint Calls.

  • Topic 2 – Student-led activities
The second topic particularly encourages student-led initiatives, including training activities, community building and campus engagement. Proposals giving students an active role in the design, implementation and dissemination of projects are especially welcome.

Projects may take a wide variety of forms, including hackathons, lecture series, challenges, contests and other collaborative events. Activities should promote challenge-based learning, innovative and transformative educational approaches, and cooperation between EELISA partner institutions.

Particular attention will also be given to projects capable of creating sustainable cooperation formats that can continue beyond the initial funding period and potentially attract third-party funding in the future.

How to apply?

Proposals will be assessed according to criteria including their impact, learning innovation and feasibility.

Selected activities may start from 1 January 2027 and must be completed by 31 August 2027.

  • Application deadline: 31 October 2026
  • Funding: up to €12,000 per project
