Living with the Rain: A Roundtable Discussion with Auguste Gires
In conjunction with the exhibition Sous la pluie (April 11 – September 20), the Rouen Museum of Fine Arts, in partnership with the University of Rouen Normandy and as part of the *Université Buissonnière* program, is organizing a roundtable discussion on the theme “Living with Rain”: a cultural and sensory exploration of our relationship with rain.
Auguste Gires (researcher at CEREA) will speak about his book Balade sous la pluie, co-authored with Eleonora Dallan (researcher at the University of Padua).
- Auditorium - Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen (Rouen Museum of Fine Arts)
- June 9, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Balade sous la pluie is a stroll in the rain constructed as an imaginary walk. Throughout the book, through everyday situations, they decipher the phenomenon of rain and its impact on human activity and the environment to better understand them.
A fun, richly illustrated book that revisits certain preconceived ideas and shows rain in a new light!
