Three projects from the Hi!Paris International Visiting Chairs program hosted by researchers from the School

30 Apr. 2026

Hi! PARIS launched the International Visiting Chairs program to support international scientific collaboration. The program invites researchers from institutions abroad to spend time working with research teams affiliated with Hi! PARIS member schools in France.

For 2026, eleven international visiting professors will collaborate on a specific project in artificial intelligence or data science, hosted by a Hi! PARIS researcher.

Three projects will be hosted by researchers from École nationale des ponts et chaussées:

  • Alexandre Bayen (UC Berkeley), hosted by Amaury Haïat, CERMICS: "AI/ML, deep-RL for automotive, NN approximations of PDEs, explainable AI"
  • Siyu Tang (ETH Zurich), hosted by Gül Varol, LIGM: "Project: Algorithmic Foundations for Generative Human Motion Synthesis"
  • Frederik Kahl (Chalmer University of Technology), hosted by Vincent Lepetit, LIGM: "Project: Robust and Efficient 3D Reconstruction through Active Exploration and Uncertainty-Aware Learned World Models"

Institut Polytechnique de Paris and HEC Paris have created Hi! PARIS to develop education, research and innovation in the fields of artificial intelligence and data analytics. Based on their joint expertise and a multidisciplinary approach, the Center addresses key challenges related to technological transformation and its impact on business and society.
