Water - Development and infrastructure
École nationale des ponts et chaussées, Robert Le Roy, Director of the Executive Master in Civil Engineering and Eco-Design, and Bruno Tassin, Director of Research at the Leesu Laboratory, are organizing the 1st Water Symposium, “Water - Development and Infrastructure,” on 14 April 2026, at the SMABTP Amphitheater, 8 rue Louis Armand, Paris.
At a time when climate change and pressure on resources are profoundly transforming our relationship with water, this conference will bring together experts, researchers, and professionals to explore continental and urban water management in the face of climate change and planetary boundaries.
With the interventions of:
- Pierre-Alain Roche, member of IGEDD
- Marie-Christine Gromaire, Research director at Leesu
- Matthieu Beraud, head of water chez Tractebel
Discussions moderated by Herminie Metzger, Unit Director at Tractebel
The conference will first examine the links between climate, geopolitics, and watershed management, then urban risk management and ecological restoration strategies.
Finally, contemporary civil engineering works related to river transport and energy will be analyzed by evaluating their technical performance and societal impacts.
