Tours & Courses

Discover the library, its departments, its collections, its electronic resources…

Group visits are organised at the beginning of each academic year for:

  • new engineering students in the form of “active” one hour tours of the library, an introduction to the catalogue and the electronic resources they will need throughout their degrees
  • research Masters and specialist Masters students in the form of a presentation of the services, including demonstrations of specialist resources

Tours of Lesage Library and the historical collection can be organised on an individual basis and by appointment, for teachers, School staff and external users.

Tailored training courses

The library staff provide training courses offering different modules, which can be adapted both in terms of content and organisational procedures: information search methodology, selection and querying of relevant resources, using results, creating a bibliography… They are provided at the request of module heads and School teaching and research staff. They are essentially aimed at newcomers, whatever their degree programme.
Individual, personalised sessions are also run for researchers and PhD students in the laboratories. In addition, the latter receive specific training through the Paris-East University research and higher education cluster (PRES).
