ACADEMIC INFORMATION

Programme course
  • Double-degree students will follow a program already set, in which most courses are mandatory, especially in the first year of their mobility. Customization with courses taken in another department is possible to some extent and upon formal agreement of the host department.
  • Double degree students have to validate at least 120 ECTS credits to pretend to graduation:
    • 113 scientific and technical ECTS (including 2.5 ECTS for the compulsory internship and 30 ECTS for the end-of-study project),
    • 6 ECTS in languages.
    • 1 ECTS in sports.
  • At the application step, applicants fto a double degree are required to download the programme of the department they have chosen, sign it and upload it on the application tool.
  • 2026-2027 programs (called cursus) are downloadable from our website. Programmes are at the top left of the page of each department. They may slightly change in 2027-2028.
  • Definitive programmes for AY 2027-2028 will be available in July 2027, and will be sent to the admitted students by the host departments. Most courses are compulsory.
  • Admitted students will be asked to choose among a selection of elective courses. Some of them have a limited capacity, especially in the Civil and Structural Engineering department, and registration to these courses cannot be guaranteed. Should this occur, students will be proposed alternative courses once they are on campus.
  • Detailed information on courses can be obtained in the course catalogue. Once in the homepage, please select “Departments” and then any course in the chosen host department.
  • Please note that the decision to admit a student is made taking into consideration his choice of academic department at ENPC. Thus, changing departments after the admission is not possible.
Duration
  • Double-degree students must complete all the scientific, technical and language modules over 3 course semesters, and validate a short (min. 10 weeks) or long (min. 43 weeks) internship after completing their first year at ENPC. The last semester consists in the end-of-study project carried out in a company or in a lab (min. 17 weeks).
  • Thus, depending on the duration of the internship, graduating from ENPC implies a 2 year or a 3 year mobility
  • Please note that any internship carried out in France and lasting more than 2 months is paid by law. Internships and end-of-study projects can be performed abroad, but we recommend international students not to carry it out in their home country.
French language courses
  • French language courses are compulsory for all foreign students enrolled in a degree programme.
A placement test upon arrival is a requirement for defining their level and the courses that they will be taking.
  • Depending on their level, they can be registered to our intensive 2-week French seminar, offered free of charge in September, before program start.

ACADEMIC INFORMATION

Duration of an exchange mobility
  • Exchange students can stay up to 2 coursework semesters at ENPC. Two options are available:
    • one semester of coursework;
    • two semesters of coursework.
  • Please note that :
    • ENPC does not enroll exchange students for the purpose of achieving their thesis project.
    • No internship can be carried out by exchange students under ENPC supervision
Learning Agreement

Applicants to an exchange mobility must establish a programme course, also called Learning agreement, prior to their arrival on campus. Such programme course is not required from applicants to a double degree.

Rules that must be followed

2 rules must be complied with while elaborating this programme course :

  • 50% minimum of their courses (in terms of ECTS credits) must be chosen in the host department, since they will be enrolled in one of our academic departments. The other 50% can be chosen in any other department but for the "Humanities and Social Sciences" department.
  • The programme course must contain scientific courses for a minimum of 20 ECTS. We do not recommend learning agreements with more than 30 ECTS.

Preparation of the Learning Agreement

Three elements have to be carefully checked when preparing the learning agreement :

  • Scientific prerequisites: this is the most important element in assessing applications; non compliance with prerequisites leads to the denial of registration.
    • Prerequisites are presented in our website. Once on the page of any department, prerequisites can be downloaded from the home page or consulted in Prerequisites.
    • For each course, prerequisites are specified in our course catalogue. Once in the homepage, please select “Departments” and then any course in the chosen host department.
  • Course capacity: some courses have a limited capacity, and we may not be in a position to guarantee the registration even if it was set in the learning agreement. For each course, the capacity is specified in our course catalogue.
  • Delivery of course in the targeted semester: such information lies in the section “Time slot” at the very beginning of all course descriptions in our course catalogue. For each course description, Sem 3 and Sem 5 stand for Fall semester, while Sem 4 and Sem 6 stand for Spring semester.

Learning Agreements have to be endorsed (= signed) by the home university before to upload it in our submission tool.

Indicative and definitive Learning Agreements

  • Please note that the Learning Agreements required for the application process are indicative because the list of courses offered in 2027-2028 will not be known until July 2027.
  • Admitted exchange students will receive in July 2027 all the documentation to complete their Learning Agreement and send it for their pre-registration. The Learning Agreements prepared in June 2027 may slightly change in September 2027, when courses begin (see below). Definitive Learning Agreements will be set in September 2027. They must be officially accepted and endorsed by the host department at ENPC and the home university.
  • Any programme change must receive the official agreement of both the home university and the host department at ENPC.
  • Should the access to some courses be rejected, students will be proposed alternative courses once they are on campus.
  • Detailed information can be obtained in the course catalogue. Once in the homepage, please select “Departments” and then any course in the chosen host department.

French language courses

  • Exchange students are not required to take French language courses. However, they are accepted upon request in courses adapted to their level if full capacity has not been reached.
  • Courses are free if they are included in the learning agreement and are rewarded with credits by the home university.

FEES

FORMATION D’INGENIEUR (MSc in Engineering)

Requirements in French (applicants to a Double degree or an exchange mobility)

  • 100% of the courses in our MSc in Engineering (Diplôme d’ingénieur) are taught in French. It is thus a requirement that all double-degree and exchange students in this programme be proficient in French when they begin their mobility.
  • Minimum level expected from incoming students:
    • A2, for students coming from romance-language countries
    • B1, for students coming from non-romance language countries.
  • Only exceptions : applicants to SEGF and VET departments must have a minimum level of :
    • B1, if they come from romance-language countries
    • B2, if they come from non-romance language countries.

It is expected that all students provide an official certificate (DELF, DALF, TCF or TEF) indicating their level in French. We do not require such certificate at the time of the application. However, students will have to provide it before June 11 2027.
In the absence of the required official certificate or if the minimum level is not reached, ENPC reserves the right to cancel the admission for the MSc in Engineering (“Diplôme d’ingénieur”).

French students and students from French speaking countries (Morocco, Tunisia, Côte d’Ivoire, Lebanon …) are not required to submit any certificate of French proficiency.

Requirements in English (Only for applicants to a Double degree)

  • B1 is the minimum level in English required from applicants to a double degree mobility. Accepted official certificates are :TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS and Cambridge Proficiency (CAE or FCE).
  • Such requirement derives from the French regulation that requires B2 level in English to be graduated as an engineer, which means when students finish their studies at ENPC.
  • We do not require the B1 certificate at the time of the application. However, students will have to provide it before June 11 2027.
  • Without the required minimum, ENPC reserves the right to right to cancel the admission for the MSc in Engineering (formation d’ingénieur”).
  • Exchange students do not have to provide any certificate in English.

    • Beneficiaries of the Eiffel scholarship are waived tuition fees during 24 months at ENPC, and benefit from 50% discount on CMCI (See section of Fees).
  • France Excellence scholarship programme
    • Such programmes are run by French Embassies in the home country. Although caracteristics of scholarships are identical, eligibility criteria and targets might differ from one country to another.
    • Please contact the French Embassy in your country for specific information, and carefully follow them on social networks

ERASMUS+ SCHOLARSHIPS

These scholarships are offered to a specific number of students who meet 2 conditions :

  • their home university, located outside EU, has a partnership agreement with ENPC ;
  • the Erasmus Agency has given a positive response, and the corresponding subsidy, to the proposal we submitted.

Such scholarship is valid only 1 year, and consists in :

  • 900 € monthly payment
  • Possibility to get an extra 250 €/month payment if some conditions in terms of financial resources are met
  • Tuition fee waiving

In 2026-2027, this scholarship programme applies to students from INP HB, in Côte d'Ivoire.

SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED BY ENPC AND ITS ECOSYSTEM

ENPC and its ecosystem offer scholarships to which any student admitted to a double degree can apply

    • Fondation des Ponts scholarship consists in a fixed monthly payment of 720 € during 10 or 15 months depending on whether students choose a short or a long internship;
    • See section Application procedure for ENPC Master of Engineering : application to a double degree mobility, paragraph on Duration.
  • ENPC scholarship programme for extra EU students :
    • A mix of academic and financial criteria are used to determine both the eligibility of applicants and the level of the scholarship, which may amount to 5 000 €/semester as a maximum, and for the 3 course semesters.
    • Criterias taken into account are :
      • Academic criterias
      • Motivation to join ENPC and consistency between the studies, the mobility at ENPC and the professional project
      • Financial resources
      • Associative engagement (at home university or outside), civic engagement, achievements in sport or artistic activities.
  • Corporate fellowships
ENPC has strong links with industry and some scholarships can be awarded to international students. Major partners are Meridiam and Ibn Rochd Foundation (students from Moroccan partners only - programme suspended in 2026). Eligibility criteria are set by the companies, which proceed to the final selection.

For all the above mentioned scholarships, we proceed to calls for applications in June/July. Applicants preselected by Meridiam are invited to an interview. We insist that these programmes may not cover all the demand for scholarships, hence the importance to look for scholarships in the home country.

Whatever the scholarship programme, please note that :

  • No scholarship is paid during internship periods
  • Scholarships are only awarded to students enrolled in a double degree mobility, buit for Erasmus+ scholarships.
  • They do not include tuition fee waiving, but for Eiffel scholarships.

For any additional information, please contact Head of International relations
