Alice Gribonval awarded the René Houpert prize
Alice Gribonval, doctoral researcher at Navier Laboratory, was awarded the first place at the Prix René Houpert, by AUGC - Association Universitaire de Génie Civil (University Civil Engineering Society), for her thesis presentation: "Multi-scale analysis of anisotropy and size effects in 3D printed concrete structures".
Her work draws on periodic homogenisation and brittle fracture theory, and highlights the influence of the geometry of print filaments on the failure of printed concrete structures.
Alice is writing her thesis as part of a collaborative project bewteen XtreeE, the large-scale 3D and the Navier Laboratory, under the supervision of Jérémy Bleyer, Nicolas Ducoulombier, Karam Sab and Romain Mesnil.
