The School launches the MISCEA doctoral program
The Research Department of École nationale des ponts et chaussées is preparing the launch of the « MISCEA » (Modelling and Interdisciplinary SCience for the Ecological TrAnsition) doctoral program. This five-year project will officially start in Janury 2024.
MISCEA is co-financed by the European Commission within the framework of Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) - COFUND. This program aims to create a network of 18 doctoral contracts, with theses focusing on the central theme of the ecological and energy transitions. Many associated partners from the private sector have already expressed their interest in co-financing several theses (EGIS, SETEC TPI, EDF, VINCI, Tractebel-ENGIE, Meridiam).
All of École nationale des ponts et chaussées's laboratories have been invited to propose thesis subjects to the Research Department the framework of the MISCEA themes. Several subjects per laboratory may be proposed; a selection will be made before the offers are published. Thesis topics with an emphasis on interdisciplinarity, internationalisation and intersectoriality are encouraged. An information note and a specific template for thesis subject proposals have been sent to the laboratory directors.
Doctoral students will be selected and recruited in 3 waves between 2024 and 2025. The first wave of offers will be published in spring 2024, and the first doctoral students will be recruited in October 2024.
