STRUCMEDICA, deep-tech startup founded by an alumni, is a 2026 i-PhD award winner

Led by Ouijdane Qacami, a graduate of the School, STRUCMEDICA is a deep-tech company specializing in predictive diagnostics for infrastructure. Using non-invasive monitoring and multi-physics AI, the startup assesses the actual condition of structures, anticipates their aging, and generates a diagnostic report with maintenance recommendations with a single click.

It helps infrastructure managers prioritize their needs, reduce costs and operational downtime, while optimizing CAPEX and OPEX. It also addresses ESG/CSRD challenges by tracking CO₂ stored within structures and assessing the environmental impact of maintenance strategies.

The i-PhD competition is aimed at young researchers and seeks to promote their work to create or co-create startups driving technological disruption, in collaboration with technology transfer organizations, public research incubators, and public research laboratories. It offers winners a one-year support program that includes coaching, meetings with entrepreneurs, and immersion in the deep tech ecosystem.
