The “Ponts Entrepreneurs” group
This is a group of entrepreneurs, alumni of École nationale des ponts et chaussées, which seeks to foster exchanges of contacts and good practices through a LinkedIn network and regular events. It is restricted to graduates who have already set up their own businesses. Its members are frequent contributors to events at the School relating to business creation.
The success of such events depends very heavily on the support of keynote contributors, such as academic representatives of the School and collaborators from its partner companies, business leaders, young of founders start-ups, as well as older experts who are prepared to volunteer their time and energy.
Ponts Études Projets
Getting involved in one of the School’s clubs and associations is an excellent way to discover the meaning of entrepreneurship, through the various responsibilities and tasks they offer. The organisation that operates the most like a business is the Junior-Entreprise, Ponts Etudes Projets. Its raison d’être is to offer the services of School students to companies, thus giving students the opportunity to experience marketing, sales, customer relations, project management, recruitment, human resource management, business management… all of them part of the day-to-day activities of entrepreneurs.
The new team is recruited during the first year of the engineering curriculum.

Set up in 2014, Genius Ponts is the École nationale des ponts et chaussées branch of a national federation of organisations dedicated to student entrepreneurship, now present at Paris-Dauphine University, Centrale-Supélec, MINES ParisTech, IPSA… In order to promote student entrepreneurship, foster the entrepreneurial spirit, and encourage innovation in the elite schools and universities, Genius organises a variety of events – start-up weekend, start-up pitch, aperitif entrepreneurs, workshops etc. – which give members and nonmembers an opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge, and to establish an inter-school network of students with complementary profiles.
- Check out the Genius Ponts and Genius Global Facebook pages for information about the events. Some of them are open to everyone, others restricted to members.
- There is an annual subscription of €10 to cover the cost of organising the different events, paying travel costs for contributors and instructors, and running the national network.
