New Certificate of Advanced Studies in Sustainability in the Built Environment
The Certificate of Advanced Studies in Sustainability in the Built Environment is presented at the Sustainable Buildings and Construction Summit 2026 (20-22 April, Lausanne).
This new Certificate of Advanced Studies will be available online in January 2027 (10 ECTS) and is designed for working professionals across the built environment who want practical, applied learning they can use on real projects – from life-cycle thinking and materials choices to design decisions and implementation.
The programme is jointly developed and delivered by EPFL and École nationale des ponts et chaussées, and is supported by the UNEP-hosted Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC) in partnership with the French Ministry in charge of ecological transition, aligned with the goals of the Déclaration de Chaillot and its Intergovernmental Council for Buildings and Climate (ICBC).
It is developed in collaboration with the University of Cape Town (South Africa) and other universities in North Africa and India.
On 21 April 2026, Matthieu Vandamme and Anne DeKeukelaere will present the programme during the "Sustainable Built Environment Continuing Education" session.
Contacts: Anne Dekeukelaere (CWSC / EPFL) and Stéphanie Merger (École nationale des ponts et chaussées).
