Background
The transportation sector is characterized both by its extreme diversity and its overlap with all other spheres of economic and social life, at all territorial scales. Its range covers both the movement of individuals (from walking to intercontinental air travel) and of freight (from parcel deliveries by urban couriers to oil tankers and container ships).
This specialist program is common to 3 institutions, members of the Université Paris-Est PRES (Research and Higher Education Cluster):
- Université Paris-Est Créteil Val de Marne,
- Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée,
- École des Ponts Paris Tech.

The openings after advanced training in transportation are very varied: research (in scientific bodies, universities, businesses), teaching at various levels, consultancy, transit operations (passenger or freight transportation, logistics functions), planning and administration in government departments, international organizations or NGOs, etc.
