École nationale des ponts et chaussées voted for by its students

11 Jul. 2023

Each year, the Universum consulting firm conducts a survey of all engineering students. In 2023, the School won all the Universum certificates of recognition: Reputation, Institutionnal Offering, Employability, Culture and Environment.

A reputation for excellence

"Prestige", "Academic excellence" and "Graduate success" dominate the terms used by our students to describe the School and its teaching in particular. The main factor in the choice of our School is its presence in the main international and French rankings (for 85% of respondents).
Indeed, the School is ranked 6th among French institutions in the QS World University Rankings 2024, as well as 6th in the annual Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking 2023.

Attractive education

The excellence of our professors, teachers and support staff is the main criterion our students associate with us in terms of our educational offering. The variety of our courses and the quality of our programs are also widely recognized.

Undeniable employability

The School is associated with a good reference for career and further study, the possibility of developing one's network with employers and numerous professional opportunities. Our students recognize the match between the skills they receive and those sought by employers.
Throughout the year, the Education Department takes steps to help students enter the job market, via the Career Center, a dedicated career platform, or the coaching program to help students make initial contacts with companies and build their career plans. Career services are used by 96% of our students.
The average salary for our students' first job is between €47,000 and €55,000, including bonuses and gratifications (source: The School in Figures 2022-2023).

A rich student life

The presence of international students as well as the numerous extra-curricular activities are among the criteria most appreciated by our students.
With 745 international students, including 193 in engineering programs, the School confirms the reputation and attractiveness of its international training programs, one of the major thrusts of its development strategy.
Thanks to its fifteen or so associations and numerous student clubs, the School is the hub of a vibrant community on a campus located 20 minutes from Paris by public transport.

Our students' overall satisfaction of 8.2/10 is identical to the previous survey, and higher than the average for all engineering degree students.
