In response to:
- the complexity of the processes of urban and territorial transformation,
- trends in societal practices and spatial segregation,
- the exploration of metropolitan developments around the world,
The Mastère Spécialisé® in Spatial Planning and Urban Development (AMUR) offers a multidisciplinary postgraduate program that combines research, professional experience, and international exchange within the fields of urban planning and development. It leads to the Mastère Spécialisé® degree, a qualification accredited by France’s Conférence des Grandes Écoles.
Objectives
This full-time, 15-month course trains professionals in spatial planning. The program prepares future planners to work at the different scales of the modern city. It offers a close alliance of intellectual analysis, methodological exploration, project implementation, and the skills essential for a career in urban planning.

- public and private companies involved in urban and regional planning projects with complex interfaces (transit operators, land structures, developers, landowners,…);
- international activities.

The AMUR Advanced Master - Mastère Spécialisé® is affiliated to the APERAU network, a French association for the assessment of planning and development courses.
The 2014 session of the End of Course Projects was conducted in partnership with the Agence Foncière et Technique de la Région Parisienne, Établissement Public d’Aménagement Orly Rungis Seine Amont, Sem Melun Val de Seine, Société du Grand Paris, Association Ville & Transports en Île de France.
The program is also part of a network of international partners, in particular within the framework of the international workshop, which offers the possibility of partnerships with various universities (College of architecture and urban planning at Tongji-Shanghai University, South China University of Technology, Tokyo University of Science, Tokyo University, Hong Ik University in Seoul...).
Finally, the Advanced Master -Mastère Spécialisé® is in partnership with several research laboratories: Technologies, Territories, and Societies Laboratory, City, Mobility, Transportation Laboratory, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Territory Laboratory, etc.
