Conferences on digital twins, open to the public, are organized twice monthly from October to June: Conference Cycle Schedule

A sample of past conferences

2025 - Conference on Patrimonial Data and Collaborative Platforms for Social Housing

Speaker: Théodule Goyet, Patrimonial Knowledge and Digital Solutions at IMMOBILIÈRE 3F

2025 - Technologies for Infrastructure Protection

Critical infrastructure—such as transportation networks, power grids, and gas supplies—is the backbone of modern society. Its failure can cause severe disruptions, making protection essential for security and prosperity. This talk presents cutting-edge research from the RISK.twin consortium at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich and the DLR Institute for the Protection of Terrestrial Infrastructures. These initiatives bring together experts from engineering, computer science, and social sciences to develop digital twins for real-time infrastructure monitoring and risk management. Key enabling technologies include high-fidelity physics-based modeling and simulation, reduced order and surrogate modeling, optimal sensor placement, and physics-informed machine learning (ML), bridging fundamental research with real-world applications. The talk will showcase how simulation and AI-driven methods enhance infrastructure resilience, ensuring reliability in normal operation and crisis scenarios.

Speaker: Alexander Popp, Professor at Universität München, Founding Director of IMCS
